What is a Credit Union Service Center?
A Credit Union Service Center (CUSC) is a "shared" facility cooperatively owned by various credit unions. Some facilities are stand-alone Credit Union Service Centers, and some are actually outlets - branches of a particular credit union that accepts service center transactions. For a list of locations, click here.

Why "shared" facilities?
Shared facilities are the most cost-efficient means to provide you with not only more convenience but also personal service. By sharing facilities, credit unions can share the cost of operating the service centers, remain independent, and still extend person-to-person service. Just as members own the credit union, credit unions together own the Credit Union Service Center network. Service Centers are an extension of the basic credit union cooperative philosophy.

Is the Credit Union Service Center a branch of my Credit Union?
Technically, no. However, you can conduct most of the financial transactions you would ordinarily carry out at the credit union's branches. No matter where the Credit Union Service Center is located (and they are now located nationwide), you can access your Dominion Credit Union account. State-of-the-art data processing technology has made your credit union more personal and accessible. That's why we call the Credit Union Service Center network the "Member Friendly Financial Network".

How do I use the Credit Union Service Center?
Simply walk in and present a valid government-issued picture ID and tell them your credit union account number. It's that easy.

What are the hours?
Hours vary. Most service centers in Virginia are open six days a week, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What transactions can I do?
Members can make deposits, withdrawals, balance inquiries, transfers and loan payments. You can also cash checks (limited) and purchase money orders or travelers checks.

What other business can I conduct?
Most Virginia service centers now also offer Busch Gardens tickets, 24-hour ATM service with no surcharge, night deposit drop box (with deposits posted by 10:30 a.m. on the next business day), lobby deposit box (with deposits posted daily), and notary service. All deposits are subject to a normal check hold.

What business cannot be conducted at a service center?
1. Join the credit union.
2. Correct errors on your account.
3. Make changes in ownership on accounts.
4. Make a credit card payment or get a cash advance.

There are also limits on check cashing.

Do I pay a transaction fee for using the CUSC?
There is no fee for using a Credit Union Service Center. It is also free to use most service center ATMs in Virginia; however, ATM fees will apply at ATMs in other states and at some ATMs in Virginia.
